A consultant who has engaged with your business for a week has an impression of your business. The impression is informed by real information — conversations, documents, observations — but it is filtered through the consultant's experience, their framework for categorising what they see, and the inevitable compression that happens when complex operational reality is translated into a report. Impressions are useful. They are not measurements.

The Business Diagnostic applies a structured scoring methodology across five domains. Each domain is assessed across specific dimensions with a defined rubric. The score is transparent — you can see exactly what was assessed, how, and why each finding received the rating it did. The priority ranking is produced by the scoring, not by the practitioner's judgment.
